Membership Recruitment and Development Committee
The Membership Recruitment and Development Committee's (MRDC) primary goal is to recruit new members, as well s providing a quality volunteer experience through volunteer training. All new members are requested to complete our Inventory of Interests and Talents. Another objective of MRDC is to ensure that the monthly Hazelwood Initiative general membership meetings are interesting and informative. The committee plans the speakers for the meetings. This includes contacting elected officials and city, state and county departments that serve the residents of the Greater Hazelwood Community. All speakers and agenda items are approved by the WHO WE ARE of HI. Last year, the MRDC recommended the WHO WE ARE change these general meetings, making them more informative, yet concise, so as to keep it within a two hour time span. The MRDC is a small committee in number, but it
is a mighty committee. The MRDC includes Kris DiPietro, Joan and Jim McLaughlin,
Dorothy Hopkins, Michelle Goldammer and Donna Davis. The MRDC meets the first
Wednesday of every month, on a bimonthly basis. Meetings are held at the HI
office located at Second and Johnston Avenues. Anyone interested in planning
meetings, volunteer training and ways to improve volunteerism in the Hazelwood
Initiative should give Kris DiPietro, chairperson, a call at 412-421-6004. |
