Special Events

Throughout the year, HI, along with other community organizations and residents, presents a variety of activities for the Greater Hazelwood area. In past years, HI has sponsored and helped to sponsor,  Earth Day, 5K Race, Safe Halloween, Light Up Night, Day of Caring, Greenway Clean-Up, etc. Some of these events help to raise money for HI, but with each event we hope to build a sense of unity throughout the community, bringing together people of all ages, religions, races and ethnicities.

This year the 5K Race has been cancelled, but our committees are working now to offer an even better 5K Race in 2007. Some upcoming events include, Greater Hazelwood Unity Days, Hazelwood Steeple Chase 5K Run and Walk, Safe Halloween 2007 and Light Up Night.
